One of the most well-known PGA TOUR golfers, Tom Jenkins, was born with the golf game in his genes. He was born on December 17, 1947 in Houston, Texas, where he grew up watching his older brother and father play and quickly became an avid golfer himself. From an early age, Jenkins knew that golf was going to play a huge role in his life.

During his college career, he attended the University of Houston where he was a part of their NCAA Division I golf team. He was a member of the 1970 NCAA championship team. Jenkins was a second-team All American in 1971 and shortly thereafter decided on a career in playing golf professionally. Throughout his golf career, he has played alongside of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, while having over 115 top-ten finishes.  Presently ranked 10th on the All Time Champions Tour Money List with 7 Champions Tour wins.

Jenkins’ favorite golf course to play on is Pebble Beach and his best friend on the Champions Tour is Bruce Fleisher. Tom has two son’s, one daughter and one granddaughter.  He also enjoys eating Mexican food and spending time at his brother’s vineyard, Wing Canyon Vineyard, on Mt. Veeder in Napa Valley.  (
